
The 3rd Bangladesh – Japan Joint PPP Platform Meeting was held on 21st March-2019 at Le Meridien, Dhaka chaired by Md. Alkama Siddique, CEO, PPPA. CEO of PPPA initiated the meeting followed by the speech of the special guest, Tomohisa Kitamura, Deputy Minister for Construction, Engineering & Real Estate Industry, Japan. In a dime MLIT articulated the progress reports of the projects. Nojibur Rahman, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, Chief Guest and Salman. F. Rahman, Private Industry & Investment adviser to the honorable Prime Minister, special guest closed the opening session with a remarkable speech to flourish Bangladesh.

M. A. N. Siddique, Managing Director, DMTCL chaired the Technical Session and discussed with Shun Takazawa from Marubeni Corporation about the proposal, difficulties and progress reports on MRT Line-2 Project. Similarly Chief Engineer, RHD & Marubeni Corp discussed about the Dhaka outer ring road & Chattogram – Cox’s Bazar Highway Project. Director General, BR chaired the session and discussed about Biman Bandar MmTH, Dhirasram ICD and Kamlapur MmTH with Sojitz and Kajima about the progress and next stage actions.

Later, CEO of PPPA instigated the strategic meeting with Tomohisa Kitamura, Deputy Minister, Construction Engineering and Real Estate Industry, Japan and other agencies and delegates where SWGs gave a presentation and colloquium on each projects was held. After the strategic meeting, Abul Kalam Azad, Principal Coordinator (SDG Affairs), Aminul Haque, Executive Chairman, BIDA, Tomohisa Kitamura, Deputy Mister of Construction Engineering and Real Estate Industry, Japan and Nojibur Rahman, Principal Secretary concluded the meeting by recommending everyone to work hard for the development of Bangladesh.
